Kev “the noise “ Davies commentary

Final round of The Noise Summer Series......it's on!

It’s almost here and the contenders are lining up for a crack at this one

Comer B :
Buddy the rock star lowery has all but sown the series championship up but with a 100 points on offer he absolutely can’t afford to relax !! He’s just 33 points ahead of the improving Lucas welke ! The kids are really stepping up to plate when they need to!! There are still 5 kids with a mathematical chance of taking victory the closest next contender is Aston whitbread on 138 points, then Christian coonan on 133 points , behind Christian is fast Freddy junior on 126 points and 1 point further back is the show boat kid Charlie theobald! This one is bubbling away nicely !!!

Comer A :
Lachlan Hudson has a total of 195 points, but expect Daniel betts to come out all guns blazing in this one in the hope that he can pressure lachie into a rare mistake !! Harrison Gilbert will for sure be looking to improve and closer to the front two !!

Juniors :
With lukas bliesner jumping into a 37 point lead on 197 he will be mighty hard to catch but the chasing pack are all tightly bunched up on points so the battle will be fierce with the pole sitter from the last round abbey McDonald on 160 points, Alex Casey is on 147 but really should have more but for the dnf he suffered in heat 3 of the round 2 clash ! Stephanie dyke is just 2 points further back on 145 with the improving Lilly Shephard on 126 ! All have a mathematical chance of victory !! Could be a belter again this one .........

Teenagers :
The flying Bailey lesson has a very slender lead over isaak bliesner 184 points v 172 points ! So so close at the top and only another 20 points behind on 152 is blingyman junior Nicholas Zimmerman who will easy to spot now with a brand new sticker kit on the kart !!! Hunter smith is closest out of the rest but will definately trying to upset the contenders !!

4 bangers:
Everyone’s favourite class ! The loudest karts you’ll hear anywhere in Australia and a real crowd pleaser !! Unfortunately following an incident in round 2 rob Carroll one of the series favourites has dropped right down the rankings but could still have a huge effect on the series outcome as he’s super quick round here !!! But on 189 points it would be a huge upset if Craig taylor was to lose this from here !! In second place on 136 points so still with a mathematical chance of victory is tony dobson and a further 16 points behind is Ken coonan who got quicker and quicker in round 2, the rest will try to shake things up for sure !!

Clubman light :
It should be series victory to Craig taylor without even turning a wheel !! After his clean sweep in rounds 1 & 2 but the rest of the drivers will fighting hard for the podium positions just 24 points seperates the next 8 drivers in with a shout of a podium position are : joshua betts, Chris gilbert, Liam hinschen, julie Andrews, Nathan winning, Tom Darlington and Wayne gilby !! Don’t turn away for a moment whilst this ones on it could be a cracker !!!

Clubman heavy:
Just 4 points seperate the top 2 drivers in this class Prince Albert (joshua betts) currently has 188 points and big bore ( David lucht) has 184 ! Showbag ( Scotty hudson) is just a further 30 points back and certainly not out of it but the monster energy driver will really need to turn on the speed to get up to the front two !! Still with mathematical chances of victory are El-Presidentee (Tim bliesner), the in form fast Freddy Shephard in the new ka kart ! And glen Casey, this class is super competitive and will definately go down to the wire in 11 days !!

Open performance:
Elliot thompson sits at the top on 183 points, just 21 points ahead of round two winner terry graham ! They will both be going all out for this victory leaving it all on the track on Saturday night !! The next closest contender on 136
Is the likeable and very fast James Evans !! Still mathematically possible for graham hardy and Wes whitbread to get up there too so once again it’s all to play for in round 3 the final round of the noisy summer series @ yumborra raceway !

Greetings all, the committee met last night and information for final race meet this Saturday 23rd Nov as follows:

The race meet will be in NORMAL direction (no reverse) for a few reasons. Please talk to us at the race meet if you want to know more. Sorry!

Hudson Transport is supporting our club with a huge meat raffle. Buy tickets on race day. Proceeds to the club. Thanks Hudson Transport!

The club will provide a FREE BBQ dinner to CLUB MEMBERS after racing finish. One (1) burger and one (1) drink per club member. Canteen operating as normal for all other food and drink.

There will be THREE sets of trophies to award at presentation:
1. Normal round medals (for race results on the day)
2. The Summer Series Trophies 1st, 2nd and 3rd for three round Summer Series with Kev The Noise.
3. Championship Trophies for 2019. Total points for the year (worst round is automatically dropped). 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Track open FRIDAY for practice under lights until 10pm. Normal race format applies. Camping welcome. Hot shower available.

Kev “the noise “ Davies commentary

Well, what a weekend! Massive turnout @ Dalby Kart Club for Round 1 of The Noise Summer Series with Vintage Karts. We had 78 karts entered which is some sort of record, for recent times, at our little club.

Special thanks to all our volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible, especially those in the canteen.

Our CSEnergy shade structure was erected just in time, and provided extra shade when the sun was out.
